High School Sports Roundup (Jan. 31) – Baltimore Sun

Here’s a roundup of high school college action on Tuesday, January 31.

South River 81, Crofton 55: Blake Burrows had 24 points for the Seahawks and Cash Herndon was right behind him with 22. Trashaun Timmons had nine points.

Broadneck 53, Northeast 38: The Bruins put the game away with a 14-5 fourth quarter. Amare Jefferies led the victory with 11 points. Michael Schwob and Jalen Carter each added 11 points. Kyle Miles led with eight rebounds and Jordan Brown had eight assists. Jadyss Fifer had 20 points to lead Northeast.

Old Mill 77, Arundel 55: Noah Frayer scored 17 points, but the visiting Wildcats fell to the Patriots.

Moulin Patterson 66, Havre de Grace 41: The visiting Huskies beat the Warriors. Patterson Mill was led by Andrew Pape (18 points), Kai Gibson (13 points) and Colin Luddy (10 points).

Fallston 58, Northeast 55: The visiting Cougars trailed 27-23 in the first half but rallied to beat the Indians. Max Rueckert scored 13 points and Paul Kvech had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Fallston.

Chesapeake-AA 59, South 34: The Cougars improve to 13-5 as Natalie Forman hit four 3-pointers and led with 20 points. Ava Arruda had 15 points, while Ella Shannon had 12 points and six assists, and Madison Kelly had 12 rebounds, six points and five assists. Ava Wooster led the Bulldogs with 25 points.

Broadneck 60, Northeast 44: The host Bruins used a 14-7 second quarter streak to create a separation with the Eagles. Broadneck was led by Samantha Miller with 22 points and Mackenzie Wharton with 20 points.

Indian Creek 54, Chapelgate Christian 20: Haley Selmer scored 15 points and Molly Bunker had 14 points to lead the host Eagles (11-8, 10-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference) over the Yellow Jackets (4-11, 2-8). The win was the eighth in a row.

Gerstell 45, Sainte-Marie 24: The Falcons finished their season with a 9-5 record. Against the Saints, Gerstell got pins from; Landon Bell, Sameer Nasir, Rowen Myers, Michael Binder and Zavian Valedron.

Manchester Valley 49, C. Milton Wright 27: The host Mavericks beat the Mustangs. Manchester Valley got pins from Brayden VanDervoort (126), Camden Yowell (132), Travis Green (152), Jake Boog (170), Aiden Traenkner (182) and Derek Martin (285).

Loch Raven 45, Dulaney 33: Host Raiders beat Lions.
